Q: Cecelia, why do you choose to work at The Genesis Project?
A: I chose to work at The Genesis Project because I wanted to be a shining light and make an impact on these kids!
Q: Working with boys with behavioral issues is challenging. Why do you keep coming back?
A: I keep coming back because I care for these kids and the Lord gives me strength to keep going.
Q: What do you hope to gain personally by working with our boys?
A: What I hope to gain personally by working with the boys is that I learn more skills and patience!
Q: What have you learned that you didn’t know before working at The Genesis Project?
A: What I learned that I did not know by working with the boys is that boys can be re-traumatized by certain people, events or situations.
Q: When you describe The Genesis Project to people you know, what is the one thing you want them to know about our organization and our clients?
A: That we engage with the boys through activities and they love to participate in sports! Also, we are trauma informed!
