KeAsia Scott is a direct care worker with our boys who has a natural trauma-informed gift. Her calm, loving demeanor is a daily testament to her servant heart. We are so fortunate to have her at The Genesis Project.
Working with boys with behavioral issues is challenging. Why do you keep coming back?
I come back because I know tomorrow may be better than today. Every day is challenging.
What do you hope to gain personally by working with our boys?
I am eager to contribute love and hope to these children and also create a better future for them.
What have you learned that you didn’t know before working at The Genesis Project?
Before working at The Genesis Project, I didn’t know anything about being trauma-informed. So, I had to learn how to understand and respond to provide care the right way for our boys.
When you describe The Genesis Project to people you know, what is the one thing you want them to know about our organization and our clients?
We give the best care for our boys and make sure they have everything that they need. Anyone who comes to Genesis gets treated like family.
