Kalia Briggs
“Teaching young children basic life skills and social skills will help mold them into successful individuals for the future, which is why I love to provide fun, yet educational activities for the youth.”
Kalia Briggs is an Oklahoma City native. She graduated from John Marshall High School and then earned her bachelor’s degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation in 2018 from Langston University. Working in the behavioral and mental health field for the past five years has been one of Kalia’s passions since she was an adolescent.
Kalia’s long-term goal is to become a therapist. When she isn’t working, she enjoys spending quality time and shopping with her daughter Halo. Being a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority has taught Kalia how to give back to her community through public services that contribute to economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement.
Christ is the foundation of Kalia’s life. She relies on her favorite verse to get her through each day:
“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.”
